The money transferred from outside Cuba to a beneficiary will be available in the MONETARIA Card in less than 24 hours , after MONETARIA has received the funds. Once the funds will be available opn the card, the Beneficiary could take out the cash in Cuban Convertible Pesos, as they wish , totally or partially, or they could make different payments using the card directly.
To use the Card The beneficiary of the Debit Card Monetaria can take out the cash from Casa de Cambio(CADECA),Banks Branches and all the network of Cajeros Automaticos(ATM).They can also buy Goods and Services in more than 6500 selling points in all the national territory. The Monetaria Card is totally free of the 10% charge imposed to USD Cash in the exchange by Pesos Cubanos Convertibles(CUC). The exchange rate applied for funds transfered in USD is the one establish at the Banco Central de Cuba for this type of transfer. There is not any commission charged by the different establishments in the national territory or for the use of the MONETARIA card for making payments of Goods and Services.
